Here at Nimrod, our passion for fishing always comes first. It's that passion that guides us in the development of all our products. Our goal is to build high-quality, simple, and intuitive products that enhance your fishing experience and, hopefully, lead to catching more fish.

The idea for the henchman was born from that passion, and the concept of attaching a rod holder to a shallow water anchor arose from a personal need for more rod holders at the back of our fishing boats. There were no products like it on the market.

Having a fishing rod behind the transom and above the engine turns out to be an obvious and natural place to put one. No more bending down to pick up or store your rod. It also allows you to troll baits without interference from the motor and other items on the aft deck. It's a great place to store your rods when the boat is underway and keeps them out of the way of passengers and crew. It is especially useful when fishing with live bait, allowing you to react to hookups much faster than with traditional rod holder locations.
